Piranha is a trio run by me (drums, vibraphone) together with musicians and composers Federico Calcagno (clarinets) and Filippo Rinaldo (piano, octatrack).
Reference of the trio are both from contemporary jazz (Steve Lehmann, Tim Berne, Tyshawn Sorey, Craig Taborn, Christopher Dell) and contemporary classical music (Morton Feldman, Terry Riley, Louis Andriessen, Steven Snowden, Gerard Grisey).
The trio releases its first album for the Portuguese label Habitable Records on September 2021, that got high appreciations from both music critics and audience.
