about

“[…] now a highly request musician in many expressive contexts […]”
Sandro Cerini, MusicaJazz, Dec 2021

I am drummer and classical percussionist.
I’m very much into musical fields that include a high rate of improvisation, even though I’m also very much into many different projects, from the more to the less determined.

My artistic research is constantly pushed by questioning my own identity, the way in which I live and the society of which I’m part.
The social meaning of making music, the possibility of modeling society through music, the responsibility in my own artistic behaviors towards the building of a society; this and many other related points are very important challenges that influence my daily practice.

Much of my practice is connected to time, considered as the invisible sibling of space. Shaping time is my way to shape space, which means places, which means people and communities.
Starting from these instances, my artistic research and my esthetic goes in the direction of  a fluid and molded, not unidirectional nor univocal view of time-space.
